- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over both sides of the chicken.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
