- 1 package (16 oz) Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 package (12 count) taco shells
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional toppings: crushed Oreos, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Reserve a few tablespoons for garnish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well incorporated.
- Take the taco shells and fill them with the cheesecake filling using a piping bag or spoon. Make sure to pack it in well.
- Place the filled taco shells in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the filling to set.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. Stir until well combined.
- Remove the tacos from the refrigerator and drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each taco.
- Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top of the tacos for added crunch and decoration.
- Enjoy immediately, or keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
