Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into your desired shape and thickness.
- Place the rolled-out dough onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Brush the rolled dough with olive oil to prevent it from becoming soggy.
- Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese evenly across the surface of the dough.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the ricotta.
- Distribute the sliced pepperoni evenly on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) for added flavor.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven, drizzle hot honey over the top, ensuring an even coating.
- Finish with fresh basil leaves for a burst of color and flavor.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing it into wedges.
