- 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cherry-flavored cake mix
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional: additional cherry-flavored sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, measure out 9 cups of Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
- Melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Add the cherry pie filling and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently toss until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the cherry-flavored cake mix over the coated cereal. Toss again to ensure an even coating.
- Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the puppy chow. Toss gently to coat all pieces.
- Spread the puppy chow onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to set.
- Once chilled, break apart any clumps and transfer to a serving bowl. If desired, add cherry-flavored sprinkles for an extra touch.
